Taped in 2000 and 2001, these tapes are the audio and video taped release of Michael Stone’s six-hour seminar based on the book, Markup & Profit: A Contractor’s Guide.

This class teaches business principles for contractors and business principles don’t change. These were the first of many training courses by Michael Stone, author of the books Markup & Profit: A Contractor’s Guide (published in 1998), Markup & Profit Revisited , Profitable Sales: A Contractor’s Guide and Estimating Construction Profitably.

The Markup & Profit seminar is available as a set of six one-hour audio cassettes, six hours of audio CD’s, or six hours of VHS video.

Do I need the book?
The tapes are a companion to the first book, Markup & Profit; A Contractor’s Guide, and Michael frequently directs the listener to specific pages in the book. The revised book has the same information but on different pages; you can download a cross-reference here. We strongly recommend purchasing the book Markup & Profit Revisited to accompany the class.

We recommend this class for all construction-related business owners. The information pertains to all specialties as well as general contractors, whether doing remodeling or building new homes, residential or commercial. The information is also been valuable for CPA’s and accountants working with construction-related businesses. The focus is on the business, not on production or building jobs.
